Welcome
I love creating stories that whisk young readers off to magical places where anything is possible. My inspiration comes from my three sports‑loving kids and fascination with history, and I write about adventure, curiosity, and heart. I believe reading is one of the greatest adventures of all, and I am always dreaming up new ways to share that joy with children everywhere.
About Me
I’m a Canadian children’s writer whose greatest inspiration comes from my three sons. Reading picture books and middle-grade novels with them planted the seeds of my own creative journey. I find great joy in crafting stories that uplift young readers with themes of empathy, self-confidence, and staying true to oneself. I believe that every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and empowered, and I want to share this message through my storytelling.
My Book

When gym class turns into an inventing game challenge, Liam finally feels like he might have a chance to win, until one mistake lands him in the gym office. Worried about her friend, Olivia sneaks off to check on him, and together they stumble upon a mysterious hidden door that lands them straight in 1891 Springfield, Massachusetts, in the middle of a blizzard. There, they meet a determined young teacher, James Naismith, who is on the brink of creating a brand-new sport called basketball. As Liam and Olivia follow him through this historic moment, they uncover lessons in courage, creativity, and self-belief, even when things go wrong.
Will meeting James Naismith help Liam and Olivia face challenges back home, and will the lessons they learn give them new confidence in the present?
Perfect for readers who love time-travel adventures, real history, and stories about friendship and self-discovery.
